Mutual Rytm keeps its streak of no-nonsense dance floor techno going with this one from Disguised, the Stuttgart duo Alvaro and Domenik. They are Berlin based now and deeply tied to RSO, and that club energy runs right through 'Nightrun'. This is hardgroove stuff, tribal drums, hypnotic loops, the kind of record that does not change much across eight tracks because it does not need to. The opener with FANK sounds like a train coming through the floor. 'Crusher Wheels' is the 4am track, deep and trance-adjacent without ever going soft. The digital bonuses stretch out a little, especially 'Sceptre Rd' which has a cosmic drift to it, but the core five vinyl cuts are all peak time material. If you liked the recent Mutual Rytm records from Lars Huismann or the older stuff from Rene Wise, this sits in that same lane. It is direct, functional, well built. Not much more to say.

The duo also run Inherit Records and throw parties at C115, so this is not their first rodeo. They know what works on a loud system. The production is crisp without being sterile, the kick drums have weight, the hi-hats cut. Nothing here is trying to be clever. It just wants to move a room. If that is what you need, this delivers.

There are eight tracks across the digital version, five on vinyl. The FANK vocals add a menacing edge to 'Where Thoughts End' and 'All You Find', but the instrumentals are where the record really locks in. 'Silent Pulse' has these subtle melodic touches that feel almost hopeful, which is a nice contrast to the bulk of the record. 'Twinfall' closes on a rising note. It is a solid package for anyone who plays techno or just wants to listen to something that does not let up.

Hardgroove techno from Mutual Rytm, built for the RSO floor and nothing else.
