Get Quetzal
Almost ready
Quetzal is finished and in daily use. What is left is Apple’s part — signing, notarisation and App Store review — so there is nothing to download just yet.
Leave your email and we will tell you the day it goes live. One message, no newsletter, no sharing your address with anyone.
It will arrive on the Mac App Store. Requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later — Apple silicon and Intel.

Before you buy
There will be a trial
The free tier plays MP3 and nothing else. That is a deliberately sharp line — and it means someone with a FLAC library cannot judge Quetzal on the free tier at all.
So a 14-day trial will unlock everything. It is the only way to hear Quetzal against your own lossless files, on your own DAC, which is the thing you are actually judging. No card, no account.
Requirements
What you will need
- macOS 13 (Ventura) or later
- Apple silicon or Intel — the app is a universal binary
- A DAC or audio interface, if you want exclusive access and integer mode
- Your own music files. Quetzal is a player, not a store or a streaming service.
Every codec is built into the app, so nothing needs installing alongside it.
