Francesco Pio Nitti’s return to EVEL as caramel chameleon comes through in ten tracks built from hands-on synth playing, acid lines and broken electronic rhythms. majestic•_•ç moves between IDM and abstract machine music, with sequences that seem to change direction as one part knocks another off course. The palette draws on both analogue and digital gear, so the tracks can feel busy without becoming polished into sameness. There’s a physical sense of someone reacting in real time, choosing the next move instead of simply replaying a finished pattern.
The titles hint at a strange, playful world, from “mallcore xmas” to “no gravity elevator”, while the music keeps its focus on sound and motion. “CONH” and “acidas_dimension23” should appeal to anyone after acid pressure without a standard club structure, and the more fragmented pieces will suit people who like their breakbeats bent out of shape. It’s a paid EVEL release with CD and vinyl editions listed alongside MP3 and lossless digital versions. Nitti has been active since 2018, and this feels like a direct document of a synth player letting the machines argue back.
