Originally issued in 1996 and reissued by Lost Legion A.C. in 2014, this is mauxuam's self-produced industrial crossover recorded in the Lost Legion Sonic Lab. The ten tracks pull from EBM's locked rhythms and the harsher end of electro-industrial without falling into pure noise territory. Drum machines hit hard, distorted synth lines push through the mix, and the production has that mid-nineties grit where digital tools still sounded deliberately unfriendly.
There are nods to political themes, "We Don't Need This Fascist Groove Thang" wears its reference openly, but the music does not lecture. It pounds. Tracks like "Kipple" and the title cut layer metallic percussion over bass that sits low and heavy. "Class Thang" works a funkier angle, though the funk here is corroded and mechanical. The whole thing runs cold and direct, no ambient interludes to soften the edges.
This will suit listeners who want industrial music that still moves, where the beats matter as much as the texture. It is not subtle, and it does not try to be.
