Wippy Bonstack’s Tactile Demons is a six-track instrumental set from a United States artist active since 2021. Bonstack handles electric and acoustic guitar, drums, bass, piano, analog synth, keyboard, vibraphone, glockenspiel and percussion, giving the music a wide working palette without relying on vocals. The source tags point toward avant rock, math rock, art pop and jazz fusion, and the instrumentation backs that up with a mix of rock-band weight, composed detail and unusual timbres.
Guest players add tenor saxophone and bassoon to Tactile Demons, Addy’s Homeplate and Billiards of Pit, while flute and violin appear on Addy’s Homeplate, Rings and Billiards of Pit. Cello turns up on Rings and Barren Swords, with trumpet and xylophone also credited on the closing track and selected earlier pieces. Those parts give the six titles a chamber-like edge alongside the guitars and rhythm section. It’s a good fit for anyone drawn to instrumental progressive rock, avant-garde composition or the busier side of math rock, especially if bassoon, vibraphone and prepared-sounding percussion are more appealing than a standard guitar trio. No label is listed, but the release is free, with a CD also offered and FLAC 16/44 available.
