Four years after their first release on Steel City Dance Discs, X CLUB. are back with a four-track EP called Stay With Me. It is fast, euphoric, and built for big rooms. The Brisbane duo have been at this since 1996, and it shows in how locked in these tracks feel. Opener 'Stay With Me' rides a bright synth hook and a kick drum that does not let up. 'Desire to Stay' is slightly darker, more heads-down. 'You're Not a Popstar' sounds like a taunt over a rolling bassline. Closer 'I JUS WAN 2' strips it back to a loop that could run all night. These are tracks that have been road-tested in Ireland, North America, and Australia. They hit hard and they do not waste time. If you like techno that leans into melody without losing its edge, or electro that remembers the rave floor, this one is worth your time. Steel City Dance Discs keep their run going.
