Rushadicus, the self-styled cello goblin, recorded this entire album in a single two-hour session, improvising all eighteen tracks live with no plan. The setup: cello, kazoo, viola, guitar, flutes, and a few pedals. The result sounds like black metal colliding with free jazz, with folk instruments wandering through the wreckage. Track titles like "Three Headed Jick Beast" and "Septupulary Imp Romp" give fair warning of the goblin mythology at play here.

The cello work shifts from bowed drones to percussive attacks, sometimes within the same piece. Kazoo adds an absurd counterpoint to the heavier moments, imagine Merzbow covering a Renaissance faire. "Gravity vs Goblinity" and "Dark Jark March" lean into distorted low-end rumble, while "Warm Storms of Blee" pulls back into quieter, almost meditative territory. Producer Nic Leo captured the session at Le Fay Studios in Los Angeles, keeping the raw edges intact.

This is not background music. It demands full attention or none at all. The improvisational approach means some passages meander, others lock into surprising grooves. Anyone drawn to the outer edges of metal, free improvisation, or just curious about what a goblin-themed cello album sounds like will find something here. Available on CD and cassette as well as digital formats.

Eighteen improvised tracks of cello-driven goblin metal, recorded live in one take with kazoo, distortion, and no safety net.
