Time For Dreams' In Time comes from Melbourne, where Tom Carlyon and Amanda Roff built these songs together. Carlyon recorded and mixed the album with James Cecil, who also helped produce it, during 2016 sessions at Pash and Super Melody World. The result leans on deep dub bass, steady beats, blurred melodies and vocals that feel made for a dark room rather than a bright stage. There’s a clear pop instinct underneath, but the songs keep slipping toward post-punk tension and late-night house music.
The original run moves from “Projects” through “Newscene”, with “I Love That Tiger” and “Operator” adding some less obvious turns to the set. The second half brings remixes by Dream Kit, Geryon, Various Asses, Simon Karis and Tom Carlyon, so the record opens out into several different dancefloor shapes without losing its central pull. Rashad Becker mastered it in Berlin, and the paid release is available in FLAC 16/44, ALAC, WAV, AIFF and MP3 320, alongside vinyl and CD. A good fit for anyone drawn to dream pop with bass weight, clipped rhythms and a slightly strange club glow, especially fans of records that blur the line between band performance and electronic production.
