Roberto Carlos Lange and Fabi Reyna built this album in three-day bursts across North Carolina, Portland and the midwest, sending ideas back and forth between sessions. The setup is simple: guitars, drum machines, synths, piano. What they do with it isn't. Tracks drift between ambient washes and rhythmic propulsion without settling into either camp. "Tocando" came together after more than a day without sleep, Reyna pacing until the lyrics arrived in a single take. "Soledad" was an improvisation they couldn't leave alone, recorded in one late-night session after the album was supposedly finished.

The songs explore intimacy but rarely as dialogue between the two voices. They exist in parallel, each artist working through their own processing while occupying the same emotional weather. "Sensación" opens up closeness beyond traditional frameworks. "Fluye" suspends time, inspired by a sunrise viewed from a long-haul flight. The production stays light, letting space do as much work as sound. Nay Mapalo adds MPC drums to two tracks; otherwise it's just the two of them layering in real time or across distance.

This sits somewhere between the exploratory Latin music Helado Negro is known for and the intimate collaborative approach Reyna Tropical usually works within. It's patient music that doesn't resolve neatly, made by two people who trusted the process enough to let meaning reveal itself later. For listeners drawn to ambient textures with rhythmic undercurrents, or Latin music that refuses expected shapes.

Helado Negro and Reyna Tropical build patient, drifting songs from guitars, drum machines and synths across multiple recording sessions.
