The Shizit deliver ten tracks of remixed digital hardcore, each reworking material from their 2001 album by a different artist from the DTRASH roster and beyond. The production leans heavily on distorted breakbeats, thrashed guitar samples, and shouted vocals, with tempos pushed well past 160 BPM on most cuts. Schizoid's opener layers grindcore guitar churn over rapid-fire drum programming, while Thoracic Disruptor's take on "Point Click Kill" adds bass-heavy funk breaks beneath the metallic crunch. Punish Yourself slows the pace slightly for a mid-album breather with a post-punk bassline, and Ambassador 21's contribution channels the direct aggression of early Atari Teenage Riot. The second half maintains intensity but varies less in approach, with Needleye and Enemasex both favoring dense, abrasive textures over structural variation.

The Seattle duo operated within the digital hardcore scene that emerged in the late 1990s, sharing lineage with Alec Empire and Mad Capsule Market. This compilation appeared on DTRASH Records in 2004, after the group had already ceased activity, and functions as both a tribute and a showcase for the label's network of remixers. The political edge is present in track titles and vocal samples, though the focus remains on sonic aggression rather than lyrical clarity.

This release serves listeners who want digital hardcore without polish or restraint. The production is raw, the tempos are punishing, and the crossover between extreme techno and industrial metal is executed without compromise. Those familiar with the breakcore and industrial noise scenes of the early 2000s will recognize the aesthetic immediately.

Ten remixes of The Shizit's digital hardcore, executed by DTRASH affiliates with distorted breakbeats and thrashed guitars.
