Twenty tracks of German electro-industrial, built on thick bass lines, distorted sequences and pounding drum programming. The sound draws from the harsher end of the electronic body music spectrum, with tracks like “blutende stiefel” and “des teufels neue kleider” pushing into abrasive territory while retaining melodic hooks. Production choices favour raw textures over polish, with vocals processed through industrial filters. The tracklist includes two remixes a reworking of Stendal Blast’s “abgesang” and a take on Project-X’s “humanity” alongside a cover of Dead Kennedys’ “when ya get drafted”, which translates punk aggression into sequenced electronics. The original version of “flucht” appears at the end, following a second iteration earlier in the running order.

Released on the netlabel Dumpster Diving Music in 2006, this retrospective gathers material from cymotec’s early output. The project operates within the lineage of German acts that blend EBM rhythms with industrial noise, comparable to the stripped-down aggression of early Wumpscut or the melodic undercurrent in Eco’s work. The sound sits closer to the raw end of that tradition than to the polished synthpop crossover of later Melotron.

This is for listeners who want electronic body music that leans into its industrial roots rather than its dancefloor potential. The pacing and sequencing suggest a listening experience rather than a DJ set, with remixes and covers breaking up the original material. Those who value grit and distortion over clean production will find the approach direct.

Twenty tracks of raw German electro-industrial with thick bass, distorted sequences and abrasive EBM rhythms.
