TWEN's Fate Euphoric is a ten-track, 42-minute release built from alternative rock, indie rock and psychedelic pop-rock ideas. The tags give a broad outline rather than a full picture, but the credits point to a guitar-led band sound, with Ian Jones handling the main performance, engineering and mix, Forrest Raup on drums, and Asher Horton adding guitar to “Godlike,” “Allnighter” and the title track. The song titles suggest a record with some movement between direct hooks and stranger turns, though there’s no reason to pretend every track lands the same way.
Fitzsimmons and Jones wrote all the songs, while TWEN produced the record themselves. Joey Oaxaca mastered it at Studio 22 in Los Angeles, and the finished release is available as a paid download in FLAC, ALAC, WAV and AIFF, alongside MP3. Physical buyers can pick it up on vinyl, CD or cassette. Anyone drawn to guitar music that keeps one foot in pop structure and the other in psychedelic rock will find the right starting points in “Tapdance In Limbo,” “Chase You” and “Starmaker,” with the title track closing out the set. Jane Fitzsimmons also handled the artwork and directed the music videos, giving the project a clear visual hand beyond the music.
