Revolting Cocks' Beers, Steers & Queers is a blunt, abrasive set of industrial rock with metal and thrash-metal edges. The Los Angeles-tagged band's 2022 release opens with its title track, then pushes through "(Let's Get) Physical," "In The Neck," "Get Down," and "Stainless Steel Providers." The track names tell you plenty about the record's sense of humour and intent, even before the harder industrial attack takes over.
At 14 tracks, this edition also spends a fair amount of time on alternate versions. "Cattle Grind" appears as a studio mix, while the title song gets two further treatments and "(Let's Get) Physical" includes its banned original mix. That gives the second half a rough, remix-driven feel on paper, rather than a simple run of new songs. Revolting Cocks have been active since 1985, and Beers, Steers & Queers comes through Ministry as a paid release with FLAC, ALAC, WAV, and AIFF alongside a vinyl LP. A good fit for anyone after abrasive industrial rock with a deliberately crude streak, especially if a tracklist full of alternate mixes sounds like part of the fun.
