Lost in Kyiv’s We’re All Going To Be Fine is a seven-track instrumental release from the Paris act, whose history reaches back to 2010. With no vocal lead to pull focus, it works through post-rock scale, post-hardcore pressure and progressive movement. The tracklist runs from “Enlightened” and “Burst” through “Mantra,” “Eclipse,” “Becoming,” “Euphoria” and “Liminality,” giving the album a focused, forward-moving shape rather than a collection of separate pieces.
The appeal is in that mix of weight and development. Post-hardcore gives the music its force, while post-rock and progressive writing leave room for shifts in pace, tension and release. Anyone drawn to instrumental rock with a heavier edge should find a lot to follow here, especially if vocals often get in the way of the arrangement. Amaury Sauvé recorded and mixed the album at The Apiary Studio, with mastering by Thibault Chaumont at Deviant Lab Studio. It’s a paid release with FLAC, ALAC, WAV and AIFF available, alongside vinyl and CD editions, and the physical presentation includes photography by Rebecca Need-Menear and artwork by Corentin Schieb.
