DJ JM's Rat Race is a four-track techno release from Vilnius, arriving on Fever AM with a hard, direct feel built for the dancefloor. The four titles, “Rat Race”, “Skip”, “Cancel” and “Never”, point to a concise set rather than a long-form statement, and the label describes the tracks as forward-leaning cuts that can move between different kinds of DJ sets without losing their edge. There’s a practical focus here, music made to work in a room while keeping a clear identity.
Mantas Povilaika wrote and produced the release, with Karolis Trippsy handling the mix and Kassian mastering and cutting it at Dubplates & Mastering. One Eye Witness distributes it, and Fever AM is offering the release as a paid download alongside a vinyl LP. DJs looking for tough, adaptable techno will find the obvious use for it, while listeners following the Vilnius electronic scene get a compact introduction to DJ JM, who has been active since 2018.
