Bergen's FastLoaders have been active since 2016, and Amiga Rocks Harder turns 20 pieces of Amiga game music into a full-band progressive rock project. The tracklist moves through Turrican III, Another World, Shadow of the Beast, Pinball Dreams, Street Fighter II and plenty more, keeping the focus on melodies that originally lived inside a computer rather than a conventional rock album.
Jarle H. Olsen supplies all guitars, bass, keyboards and synth programming, with Bjarte K. Helland on drums and percussion. Kjetil Nossum adds keyboards, while Bård S. Larsen contributes additional bass, so the palette reaches from hardware-minded electronic tones to a much heavier guitar-led sound. The progressive metal tag makes sense alongside the Amiga and chiptune roots, especially for anyone who likes game music treated as serious instrumental material rather than background nostalgia. FastLoaders have already taken this material to the AMIGA 40 event in Mönchengladbach, and the album carries that clear affection for the machine's music. It's a paid release with digital editions in MP3, FLAC, ALAC, WAV and AIFF, plus a compact disc.
